Biography

I began my career with Air Canada in Toronto on the ramp in 1967 and after some time in cargo, I transferred to Winnipeg in 1971 as a Cargo Agent. After 12 years in Winnipeg as a Cargo Agent, acting Cargo Supervisor and acting Sales Representative, I was promoted to Cargo Supervisor in Edmonton. After several years in Edmonton, I was transferred to Calgary as a Supervisor and acting Cargo Manager.

I then took a position in Halifax as Cargo Manager which led to the position of Manager Cargo Operations, Maritimes. I then transferred to airports as Customer Service Supervisor at Halifax International airport with a dual role of airport and cargo operations Maritimes.

In 1995 I transferred to Vancouver as Vancouver & Pacific Northwest Cargo Manager, my last position was Manager Passenger Reservations, Western Canada & Pacific Northwest, based in Vancouver. I retired from Air Canada in 2000, moved to the Okanagan in 2005 and love it! From 2007- 2012, I worked as Airport Duty Manager at Kelowna International Airport …….now my retirement is complete!

Following my retirement from YLW, I took volunteering stints with Meals on Wheels, Okanagan Interior Health and the YLW Airport Ambassador program.

I have served with the Air Canada Pionairs as Assistant District Director, Okanagan since 2014 and assumed the responsibilities for Membership Chair, Social Chair and newsletter publication.

I look forward to serving our Okanagan Pionair members as their District Director with a focus on growing our district membership.
