Duties - Director, Digital Media

  • Responsible for the developing and implementing of digital media strategy
  • Works closely with the Executive Board and District Directors
  • Oversee the website (English and French versions), ensuring the content is up to date
  • ·Oversee, manage and coordinate with the contracted technical support company for ongoing website management (software updates, data backup, cleaning up any bugs, website hosting and content updates, website analytics)
  • Develop strategies to build website traffic and membership
  • Assist local District Web coordinators with content, i.e. event notices, reminders and occasional obituary announcements
  • Develop, implement and manage social media strategy for Air Canada Pionairs on all relevant social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, other)
  • Build annual social media calendar
  • Build traffic on all social media channels
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Measure the success of our website and social media efforts and report monthly on performance to Executive Board
  • Manage website and social media budgets
  • Source and manage third party suppliers related to the website and social media
